The Singh Sabha movement was initiated with the aim to propagate the Sikh religion into its former glory and bring back to the Sikh fold the apostates who had converted to the other religions. At the time of its founding in the year 1870s the Singh Sabha policy was to avoid criticism of other religions and political matters.
